1. Definitions

"Owner" means Rhydlewis Hot Tub Hire. "Hirer" means the person entering into the Hire Agreement. "Equipment" means the hot tub and any accessories supplied with the booking, including (where applicable) the gazebo, steps, side table, lights, plunge pool and any other hired items.

 

2. Booking & Payment

Full payment, together with the refundable £200 security deposit, must be received before installation. No booking is confirmed until payment has been received.

3. Delivery & Collection

The Owner will deliver, install and demonstrate the safe use of the equipment.

The Hirer must inspect the equipment upon delivery and immediately notify the Owner of any damage or missing items. If no issues are reported on the day of delivery, the equipment will be deemed to have been accepted in good condition.

The equipment must be available for collection at the agreed date and time.

 

4. Security Deposit

The security deposit will normally be refunded within seven days following collection, provided

the equipment is returned:

clean,complete,undamaged (excluding fair wear and tear).

Reasonable deductions may be made for: repairs resulting from damage beyond fair wear and tear; replacement of lost or missing equipment; excessive cleaning.

contaminated water requiring draining and refilling;

call-outs where no fault is found and the issue resulted from misuse;

additional collection visits caused by the Hirer's failure to provide access;

unauthorised extension of the hire period.

Where losses exceed the security deposit, the Hirer remains responsible for the outstanding balance.

5. Hirer's Responsibilities

The Hirer agrees to: take reasonable care of the equipment;

keep the equipment secure;

supervise children at all times;

ensure the equipment is used responsibly;

immediately report faults or damage;

not move, dismantle or modify the equipment;

follow all operating and safety instructions.

 

6. Hot Tub and Plunge Pool Safety Rules

 For health and safety: Children under 8 should not use the hot tub.

Children must always be supervised by a responsible adult.

Shower before use to ensure the safe running of the hot tub.

Use the supplied foot bath before entering.

No glass in or around the hot tub.

No smoking, vaping or naked flames within two metres.

No BBQs or fire pits nearby.

No pets inside the hot tub.

No sharp objects.

No food, glitter, confetti or similar contaminants.

Remove fake tan before use.

Do not use bubble bath, soaps, oils, bath salts or unauthorised chemicals.

Do not interfere with electrical equipment.

Do not climb, dive or jump into the hot tub.

Do not use while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Pregnant persons or anyone with a medical condition should seek medical advice before use.

Follow all instructions regarding water treatment and chemical dosing.

7. Damage, Loss & Theft

The Hirer is responsible for the equipment from delivery until collection.

The Hirer is responsible for any loss, theft, accidental damage, deliberate damage, vandalism

or missing accessories occurring during the hire period. You are advised to add the hot tub and accessories to your home insurance for the duration of your hire.

The Hirer agrees to pay reasonable repair or replacement costs where required.

8. Cleaning

The equipment should be left in a clean and tidy condition.

Additional cleaning charges may apply where excessive cleaning is required.

9. Severe Weather

The Hirer must follow any reasonable instructions given by the Owner during periods

of severe weather.

10. Access

The Owner may require reasonable access during the hire period to inspect, maintain or repair the equipment where necessary.

​

11. Liability

The hot tub is used at the Hirer's own risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to the above, the Owner is not responsible for:

loss caused by power failures;

severe weather;

misuse of the equipment;

loss or damage to personal belongings;

events beyond the Owner's reasonable control.

12. Cancellation & Termination

The Owner may refuse or cancel a booking before delivery where:

payment has not been received;

the site is considered unsafe;

circumstances beyond the Owner's reasonable control prevent the hire from taking place.

The Owner may terminate the hire during the hire period where the equipment is being used dangerously or these Terms & Conditions have been seriously breached.

Any refund will be considered in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

​

14. Acceptance

By signing the Hire Agreement, the Hirer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed

to these Terms & Conditions.
